• Fabric Recommendations: Designed for stretch swimwear fabrics such as nylon spandex or Lycra (150–300 g/m² [4.4–8.8 oz/yd²]) for the main fabric, paired with a lighter stretch lining (70–100 g/m² [2.1–2.9 oz/yd²]) specifically made for swimwear. Ensure all fabrics are chlorine-, salt-, and UV-resistant. Choose solid, printed, or textured materials with at least 90% stretch (10 cm should stretch to 19 cm / 4 in to 7.5 in). Avoid thick linings with heavier main fabrics.
• Elastic Guide: This pattern uses rubber swimwear elastic: 8 mm (5/16 in) elastic for leg openings, armholes, and neckline (inserted with fully enclosed seams).
